The Central Medical Library (CML) is situated within the main building of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Šalata 3b, with additional location at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Kišpatićeva 12.
The primary location of CML includes two reading rooms with 100 seats, and an extensive collection of textbooks and handbooks. It also houses a wide array of Croatian and international medical journals, along with a collection of monographs and reference materials.
Starting Monday, March 3, 2025, Central Medical Library reading rooms will operate with extended working hours.
Extended student desk hours in the library are organized as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
During student desk hours, textbooks can be borrowed exclusively for use in the reading rooms (upon identification with a student ID card). All borrowed textbooks must be returned by the end of the day.
Book lending for external use, access to the complete collection, and other library services will only be available during regular librarian working hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
You can use your own device (a smartphone, laptop, or tablet) to connect to the EDUROAM wireless network, which is available in the library. Additional details regarding the connection can be found on the eduroam installer.
The location at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb includes a reading room with 20 seats, a textbook collection, and books that encompass all clinical disciplines.
The library has five computers assigned for users, on which is installed the basic package of the Windows 10 and MS Office, along with free access to the Internet.

Please treat the Library staff, resources and your fellow Library users with respect.
Please respect other Library users and keep noise to a reasonable level.
You can bring drinks with lids into the Library. Food is not allowed.
Duffle bags, oversized luggage and large storage bags are not allowed in the library.
Switch your mobile onto silent, leave the library if you wish to have a conversation.
No seat reservation is allowed by the placement of books or other materials on tables or seats.
Do not leave any valuable items unattended. The Library is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
