Medical Information Conference Croatia (MICC) is organized by the Central Medical Library, with support of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and Wolters Kluwer/Ovid. This is the only conference that focuses on information support for medical science, education, and practice in Croatia, and it has been organized annually since 2005. MICC brings together users of medical information (physicians, scientists, nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals), medical librarians, and the public. Invited speakers, distinguished Croatian experts in the field of medicine, information professionals, and foreign lecturers contemplate key issues related to the publication, dissemination, access, use and preservation of information in the science, higher education, and healthcare system.
Numerous participants during almost 20 years indicate the quality of the conference. Moreover, MICC is recognized by the Croatian Medical Chamber, and it is regularly included in the list of professional events that are credited in the process of continuous professional education for physicians.
